Cullman

Alan Reid Lemon, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 68. Alan was born in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Russell Raymond Lemon, Sr. and the late Myrna Loy Barnard Lemon, on February 28, 1956, making him a Left-handed Lemon born on Leap Year.

Mr. Lemon was a hard-working man who was good at anything he attempted to do, and if he didn’t know how to do it, he could figure it out. He worked many years as a grinder but in his free time, Alan loved to work on cars. Mr. Lemon was good at building racing cars and motors, and he enjoyed competing with the cars he built.

Alan had an incredible sense of humor and anyone who spent any time with him knew the fun and freehearted man he was. Mr. Lemon loved nature and birds, and he had a soft spot for his pets, Kiki and Belle. Alan was also a lover of music, and the classics were among some of his favorites.

Mr. Lemon was a kindhearted man who was good to everyone, and he loved his family dearly. His wife and children were his joy, and they will miss him greatly. Although Alan is no longer here with them, his humor and spirit of kindness will remain with them forever.

Mr. Lemon is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Randy Lemon and Dennis Lemon; as well as his sister, Denise Lemon.

Those left to cherish Alan’s memory includes his wife, Peggy Lemon; sons, Derrick Lemon (Becca), Alan Lemon, Tony Lemon; daughters, Sara Miller, Jenna Pettiet (Jason); stepson, Shawn Woodard; brothers, Jim Lemon (Kennetta), Isaac Lemon (Cecilia); grandchildren, Jordan Lemon, Addison Miller, Oliver Lemon, Raegan Lemon, Zander Lemon, Briana Lemon, Isaac Pettiet, Selah Grace Pettiet, Benjamin Pettiet; honorary grandchildren, Aslyn, Rylan, and Aubrey, Austin and Kylee Miller; sister-in-law, Joyce Miller; special friend, Mark Burton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Ms. Peggy would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Alabama Home Health and Southern Care Hospice for the extraordinary care and love shown to Alan in his final days.
