Betty Joyce Rogers

Betty Joyce Rogers, a longtime resident of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away on May 1, 2024, at the age of 92. Ms. Rogers was born in Hartselle, Alabama on May 30, 1931, to the late Calvin and Onie Roan Dobbs.

Ms. Rogers was a homemaker, and she enjoyed cooking for her family. Betty liked to can and freeze vegetables from the garden. She was an avid reader in her free time.  Ms. Rogers was a member of New Hope #2 Baptist Church, where she enjoyed worshipping her Savior alongside her family and friends. Ms. Rogers was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and she will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

Ms. Rogers is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Hubert Owen Rogers. She is survived by her children, Steve Rogers and his wife Ann, and Brenda Williams.

Funeral services for Ms. Rogers will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Robert Lancaster officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family prior to services, from 1 p.m., until services begin. Burial will follow services in Haig-Rogers Cemetery, in Morris, Alabama.
