Dustin James Coville, 50 of Fairview, a lifelong truck driver, completed his final trip on October 19, 2024, unexpectedly at home with his wife of 31 years, Anna Coville, by his side.
Dustin was born February 23, 1974, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dustin is preceded in death by: his oldest brother, Jacob Alexander Coville, his paternal grandparents, John and Eunice Coville. His maternal grandparents, Bob and Pat Dart. And his Father-in-Law, Donald Kimbrough.
He is survived by: his wife, Anna Coville, his parents, James “Jimmy” Anthony Coville, and Jessie Coville. His children, Damon (Abby) Kimbrough, Jessica (Cory) Pritchett, Marshall Dylan Coville, and his son Tyler Otzel, who lives in North Platte, Nebraska. His younger brother, Casey (Angela) Coville, his special cousin Alex (Brittany) Coville. His grandchildren, Tucker, Addison, Skipper, Penelope, Fuller, Finn, and Milo. His Mother-in-Law, Rebecca Kimbrough, Sister-In-Law, Angel (Shane) Hornsby. Brother-in-Laws, David Kimbrough, and Michael Kimbrough. He is also survived by a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dustin was saved and baptized in 1995. Dustin knew that eternal life only comes from Jesus Christ, who died and gave His life for us so we can have life through Him.
Dustin had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help a friend in need or even a perfect stranger. He was the guy that would stay on the side of the road with you until midnight and work on your broken car when other people wouldn’t even stop to see if you were okay.
Dustin absolutely loved golfing, especially with his boys. He was an avid fisherman, and fishing was one of his greatest passions (just as any fishermen, he had tall tales). He also had a deep love of old cars and antiques, especially helping his sons work on their C10s. He was a lover of Alabama football, and of animals and nature. He could be stern when needed but was really a big teddy bear.
Dustin was known lovingly as Duck to his immediate family but known as Chicken to his work family; and known as Pappy Duck to his grandchildren.
Dustin was a valued member of River Valley/Tyson Foods (formerly American Proteins) in Hanceville, Alabama for 25 years. He was a team leader of Farm Mortality and such an integral part of his work family and an extremely dedicated employee.
Dustin had a great love for his annual truck driving championship which he took very seriously and proudly displayed his awards and ribbons. He was beloved by his farmers at his work, so much so that even the farmer’s wives made him special treats every Christmas, and his farmers never failed to dote on him and load him with presents and special items every year telling him that he always went above and beyond. Most of which could not even stand the week of his vacation.
Dustin loved his wife’s cooking, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. He had an unhealthy love affair with spaghetti, so much so, that we can’t even get the kids to eat it.
Dustin was the ultimate Santa in our home. He was the guy that stayed up until 3:00am wrapping Christmas presents for the kids and grandkids.
Dustin knew how to make you laugh and was a big ole prankster at heart.
We want to say so much about him that there aren’t enough words, but most of all we want you to know he was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Pallbearers:
Marshall Dylan Coville, Damon Kimbrough, Tucker Kimbrough, Cory Pritchett, David Kimbrough, Shane Hornsby, Casey Coville and Alex Coville.
His final resting place is at Corinth Baptist Church in Joppa, Alabama.
Dustin's obituary was lovingly written by his wife and children.
