Mrs. Fannie E. Clem, 85, of Attalla, passed away on Sept. 29, 2015, in Gadsden, Ala.
She was born to Clarence and Lannie Lewis Smith in Cullman, Ala. Mrs. Clem was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James Dawson Clem.
She is survived by two sons, David (Anita) Clem and Kenneth (Gina) Clem; a daughter, Delores (Keith) Quinn; two chosen sons who called her Mom, Bob Smith and Glenn Gables; grandchildren, Apryl, Jared (Belinda), Kyle (Jenifer), Savanna, Kaitlin (Cody), Hayden, Laney and Heath; great-grandchildren, Tre, Brody, Emmy, Ridge, Ethan, Briggs and two great-grandchildren on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that she loved dearly.
Special thanks to seventh, eighth and ninth floors at Gadsden Regional Medical Center E.R. and MICU, and Riverview Regional Medical Center and Attalla Health Care, Tracy and Connie, aides and staff, and Joe Mayo.
Funeral for Mrs. Clem was at 1 p.m. Oct. 1, 2015, at Holly Pond Funeral Home chapel. Burial was at Holly Pond Cemetery. Rev. Darrell Huff, Rev. Jared Clem (grandson) and Joe Mayo presided.
Holly Pond Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
