June Cornett Harris

June Cornett Harris, of Cullman, Alabama, entered the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 12, 2021, at the age of 81. She was born in Cullman County, Alabama, on June 16, 1940, to Albert and Ola Hill Cornett.

June was a loving wife and mother. She was dedicated to her family and showed her love to her them in many ways. She enjoyed quilting, as well as canning, and she cared for her family with those skills, among many others. She and her husband were members of the Roswell Creek church family and they enjoyed worshiping their Savior with their friends and church family. Mrs. Harris not only adored her daughters, but also her granddaughters and their babies as well. June loved much, and she will be missed greatly.

Mrs. Harris was welcomed into heaven by her parents; children, Randy, Sandy, and Brenda; as well as brothers and sisters, Lawrence Cornett, Monroe Cornett, Bernard Cornett, Paul Cornett, and Alvin Cornett, Matalene Horton, Dura Pack, and Beatrice Shaddix.

June is survived by her loving husband, Leon Harris; daughter, Sonya Segers (David); granddaughters, Tiffany Blocker (Justin), Hollie Harville (Wesley); great-grandchildren, Audrey, Easton, Kayla, Hudson, Adella, Karson, Wyatt; and her sister, Wynell Barbee.

Funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be 2 p.m., Monday, November 15, 2021, in the chapel of Holly Pond Funeral Home, Justin Blocker and Leonard Slade officiating. Burial will follow in Duck River Cemetery where Wesley Harville, Byron Cornett, Junior Horton, Jeff Pitts, Bo Golden, and Justin Blocker will serve as pallbearers. Friends are invited to visit with the family two hours prior to service time, from 12 noon until services begin.
