Karen Melissa Watson

Karen Melissa Eason Watson, known to most as Lisa, passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 57. Lisa was born July 25, 1965, in Cullman County, Alabama, to Richard Jean and Helen Dorothy Burgess Eason.

Lisa loved watching the Andy Griffith Show and was a master of puzzles. It did not matter what kind of puzzle – jigsaw, crossword, wordsearch – she enjoyed the challenge and was incredibly good at conquering them. While her dog Woofie held a special place in her heart, she loved her family beyond words. Her children and grandson were her life, and the love she poured into them will forever remain in their hearts and memories. Lisa will be missed greatly.

Those preceding Ms. Watson in death are her parents; husband, Greg Watson; brother, Ronnie Eason; and lifelong friend, Marvin Trussell.

Lisa is survived by her son, Lukas Ely Watson (Kaele); daughter, Karissa Thomas (Matt); grandson, “LJ”; brother, Jimmy Eason (Donna); and sisters, Peggy Black (Rickey), Diane Alldredge (Rodney).

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Saturday afternoon, July 22, 2023, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. A funeral service for Lisa will follow visitation beginning at 4 p.m., with Brother Tim Collier officiating. Lisa will be laid to rest following services in Holly Pond Cemetery.
