Laura Sparks

Laura Cox Sparks, age 84 of Hanceville, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family early on the morning of December 27, 2016. She was born in 1932 to Jess and Alice Adair Cox in Marion County, Alabama.

Ms. Sparks is predeceased by her parents; husband, William Henry Sparks; granddaughter, Sandy Steels; brother, Alvis Cox; and sisters, Juanita Estes, Marjorie Webb, and Jeralene Cox.

Survivors include sons, William W. (Kathy) Sparks and Christopher B. (Lisa) Sparks; daughter, Ellen Sparks (Kenneth) Steele; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Daniel Cox; and sisters, Orea Hathcock, Coreen Nelson, and Gloria Keller.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Duke officiating. Interment following at Mountain Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday from 11 am until time of service.
