Mitchell Ryan Monroe was born in Anniston, Alabama, on April 16, 1979, to Donald Glenn Monroe and Donna Harrison Monroe. Mitchell passed away August 25, 2024.

Mitchell had a heart of gold. He loved his family and friends. He was greatly loved back. He loved the outdoors, especially the rivers and lakes. He loved Jesus. Mitchell will be sorely missed by so many.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Harrison Monroe; his brothers, Jeremy Blake Monroe, Joshua Aaron Monroe, Ashley Christian Todd Monroe; and uncle, John H. Harrison. Mitchell is also survived by a host of cousins, first and second. He had a great fondness for his cousin, Jason Keith Morris and a very special aunt, Ginger Harrison Morris. He leaves behind a nephew, Gavin Aaron Rei Monroe; grandmother, Katherine Harrison; and a very special friend, David Marler, of Birmingham.

Mittchell is preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Harry and Ruby Monroe, of Florida; grandfather, John Howard Harrison; step-grandfather, Arthur Eugene Cambron; and special great-aunt, Shirley Ann White.

The Monroe family will celebrate the life of Mitchell in a memorial service on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Livingston Chapel in Hanceville, Alabama, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. All those who knew and loved Mitchell are welcome to attend. 

Mr. Monroe’s obituary was lovingly written by his mother.
