Opal Lee Graves
Mrs. Opal Lee Graves, age 82 of Hancville, passed away on July 27, 2017 at her residence. She was born January 31, 1935 in Blount County, AL to Robert F. Barbee and Delphia McAnnally Barbee. She worked as a housekeeper for Hanceville Nursing Home for many years and was a church member of Garden City Church of God.
Mrs. Graves was predeceased by her parents; husband, Earl Franklin Graves; son, Gary Alton Black; and daughter, Cynthia Lynn Rouse.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Ann McAlpine, of Breman, Rita Faye Parris, Teresa Jo Peterson, of Hanceville, and Alice Lea Swann, of Hanceville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and brother, Wayne Barbee, of Garden City.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
